Parasyte: The Maxim is a rare example of a perfect anime adaptation. Studio Madhouse adapted all 64 chapters of Hitoshi Iwaaki's classic manga into a tight, 24-episode season, concluding the story with a satisfying, emotional ending for Shinichi and Migi.
So, what happens next? The short answer is: Nothing. The manga is officially finished at Volume 8 (or Volume 10 in the older releases). There is no more source material to adapt for a Season 2.
