If you’ve watched Hellsing Ultimate, the glorious 10-episode OVA series by Studio Madhouse, you have seen a near-perfect 1:1 adaptation of Kohta Hirano's entire manga. The OVA covers everything from Alucard's introduction to the final battle against Millennium in London.
So, what is left to read?

But there is a secret prologue you missed. While Ultimate covers the whole main story, many fans don't know about Hellsing: The Dawn. This is a short, 6-chapter prequel manga that follows a 14-year-old Walter and Alucard (in a girl's body) fighting the Nazis in Warsaw during World War II. It was partially animated as three bonus episodes for Hellsing Ultimate, but reading the manga gives much more detail into Walter’s relationship with Integra’s father and provides vital context for his actions in the main series.
